The Arizona Department of Education requires that all persons applying for any athletic coaching assignments, Grades 7-12 (Head or Assistant Coach) hold a valid elementary, secondary, special education or substitute certificate or an Athletic Coaching Certificate. The requirements and the application form for the Athletic Coaching Certificate are available on the Arizona Department of Education website.

Positions available for Head Coaches and Assistant Coaches are for various sites.
Application Requirements:
1. Valid Elementary, Secondary, Special Education or Substitute certificate or an Athletic Coaching Certificate.
3. Three Letters of Recommendation
4. Transcripts, from applicable community college or university
Prior to coaching in the Coolidge Unified School District, a coach must have the following documents:
- Completed Coaches Application
- CPR/1st Aid - current card must be on file with HR and District Athletic Director
- National Federation of State High School Associations (NFHS) Fundamentals of Coaching Certificate of Completion must be on file with HR and District Athletic Director
- NFHS Concussion Certificate of Completetion must be on file with HR and District Athletic Director
- IVP Fingerprint Clearance Card - If hired, fingerprinting services are offered by the District
All coaches are under the direct supervision of site administrators.
