Responsible for providing a educational atmosphere where students have the opportunity to fulfill their potential for intellectual, emotional, physical, and psychological growth and for organizing and implementing an instructional program that results in students achieving academic success in accordance with District and state policies and laws.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution
- Valid Arizona Teacher
- Fingerprint Clearance Card

- Ability to communicate effectively with all parents, students, administrators and teachers in written and oral form, including email, using positive interpersonal skills.
- Highly skilled at implementing exemplary educational practices resulting in demonstrated student achievement gains.
- Ability to organize, prioritize, manage and carry out duties efficiently and within established timeframes.
- Ability to use effective strategies in differentiating instruction.
- Knowledge of curriculum and instructional best practices for in person and/or online learning.
- Exhibit knowledge of standards-based curriculum and instructional programs and practices for grade levels assigned.
- Proficient in district approved technology, included but not limited to Apple products including iPads, iMessage, FaceTime and Schoolwork, Microsoft Teams, PowerSchool, Edgenuity or GradPoint (CVA only).
- Ability to establish and maintain cooperative working relationships with students, parents, and schools.
- Demonstrate effective data-based problem-solving skills.
PERFORMANCE RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Implement, and evaluate the Coolidge Unified School District and/or Coolidge Virtual Academy curriculum, schedule, philosophy, goals, and objectives reflecting school, District and state goals.
- Implement daily check-in meetings and intervention groups with assigned grade levels (CVA only).
- Assist with school-wide data analysis, as part of a professional development needs assessment.
- Implement instructional activities that contribute to a positive environment where students are actively engaged in meaningful learning experiences.
- Provide differentiated instruction to meet the needs of all students.
- Collaborate with the curriculum department, case manager, special education department, and teaching team concerning student educational needs as requested.
- Clearly articulates deadlines, schedules, and procedures to students and parents to ensure that students complete coursework in a timely manner.
- Assist site administrator with student placement.
- Assist students and parents with technical support requests relating to the course interface and student information systems.
- Participate in teacher trainings as scheduled by site administrator or District personnel.
- Attend and provide meaningful feedback for IEP, MET, MSST, and P/T conferences as requested.
