WE ARE ON A 4-DAY WORK WEEK!

 

Responsibilities and duties may include, but are not limited to, the following:

1. Plan in service training to disseminate information on techniques, methods and
materials, current literature, and behavioral management for Special Education teachers.
2. Review the evaluations and IEPs of students entering the cross-categorical resource
programs and self-contained programs.
3. Assist in completing educational evaluations as requested to assist in determining
placement.
4. Assist in ordering, receiving and distribution of materials for Special Education teachers
and to make recommendations for appropriate materials.
5. Serve as a LEA Representative at IEP meetings when an administrator is unable to do so.
6. Provide assistance to emergency certified special education teachers or new special
education teachers on IEP development, classroom management, district curriculum
usage and in developing behavioral intervention plans.
7. Monitor special education files for compliance issues.
8. Attend IEP meetings for out-of-district placements.
9. Serve as testing coordinator for state and district-wide assessments for students with
special needs.
10.Assist school sites with Student Study Teams as needed.
11.Assist teachers in the area of curriculum implementation.
12.Perform related duties and responsibilities as assigned.

TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT:

• Certified Pay Scale (Dependent of Education and Experience Level)
• Working Days – 10 Month Contract; 10 hours per day
• Benefits – All approved benefits for Certified Employees

Job Qualifications and Requirements:
* Bachelor of Arts Degree, minimum
* Valid Az. Dept of Education Special Education Cross Categorical
Certificate required and AEPA endorsements in Language Arts and Math
preferred
* Valid AZ. Fingerprint Clearance Card

Salary placement is dependent upon experience and degree.
This position is for the Fiscal Year 2018-2019.  

This position is .5 FTE Self-Contained Junior High and .5 FTE High School.  Our Junior High and High School are located on the same campus.
