QUALIFICATIONS:
• High School Diploma or GED, and
• Successful Completion of the Paraprofessional Test or
• 60 College Credit Hours or
• Associates Degree from an Accredited College
• Experience working with diverse populations
• Ability to work with students at various educational levels
• Ability to work independently
• Ability to effectively communicate with students and employees
• Ability to promote good Customer Service
• Under supervision of the teacher, works with small groups of students to reinforce material initially introduced by the teacher.
• Participates in in-service training programs, as assigned.
• Performs various duties to ensure the safety of students is always maintained at the school site.
• Perform related duties and responsibilities as assigned.

REPORTS TO: Teacher and Site Principal

Application Requirements - The following documentation must to attached at time of submission of online application:

1. High School Diploma or GED, and
2. Successful Completion of the Paraprofessional Test or 60 College Credit Hours above high school diploma or Associates Degree from an Accredited College

3. First Aid and CPR required within 30 days of employment.
4. Three Letters of Recommendation, preferably from previous employers or supervisors. Please do not include letters of recommendation from relatives/family members.
5. IVP Fingerprint Clearance Card (Applicant is responsible for $75 application fee)

6. CPI certification required if employed in a self-contained classroom.  This training/certification will be provided by the District.

 

Employee Benefits:

*Employee Health Insurance: Effective on the 1st of the following month after initial employment to all employees working at   least 30 hours per week

*Life Insurance: $50,000 in life insurance is paid by the district

*State Retirement: Employee contribution 11.80%. District to match contribution

*Liability Insurance: All employees are automatically covered at no cost

*Sick Leave: Employees working at least 30 hours per week will earn one day per month

 

*Disability Insurance: Long term disability is provided by the State after 180 days. Short term disability is available at the    employee’s expense

Starting salary is dependent upon experience.
